New York City is one the most competitive real estate markets in the world for real estate agents and brokers. With over 26,000 agent in Manhattan alone competition is fierce. Setting yourself apart is more important than ever. If you want to really set yourself apart then a template or theme just isn’t going to do the job.
One of the best ways to set yourself apart is have a functional, aesthetically pleasing website. You need something that will entertain, and educate your potential clients.
Here is what a great website should do for you:
1. It should tell the client who you are
2. It should tell your clients what makes you different
3. It should talk about your experiences
The first website we really liked was from one of Manhattan’s top real estate agencies named Douglas Elliman.

What we like about their website:
1. Very clean design
2. Great use of both color and black and white images
3. Clear call to actions including their market reports
4. Charitable donations (Hurricane Sandy)
They also have a sub domain named Ask Elliman with a easy to type box to ask questions.
Our second favorite website in Manhattan is Stribling & Associates. We really like how Stribling crosses the line, and help bridge the gap between their website and their company.

What we like about Stribling:
1. Great use of images displaying their luxury properties
2. Rotating agent insight section which changes every time the page is refreshed
3. Great use of videos to help potential clients understand their expertise
4. Social Media feeds right on home page
We also thought their logos was one of the best. The script writing helps bring a playful feeling to the overall site.
Our third New York Real Estate Website we felt did a great job was Mark David’s website is super simple and functional.

What we liked about Mark David:
1. Easy to use search function right on the home page.
2. Three highlighted properties.
3. Great use of colors for call to actions.
4. Easy to understand with a simple three step approach
We really liked their “Be a New York City Insider” page. We found this to be some of the most informational information.
